I took an early morning walk around the new Vancouver Waterfront Park. You now have a nice unobstructed view of the I-5 bridge and the Columbia River.

One of the highlights is the Grant Street Pier, a suspended pier that allows for nice views up and down the river. There is a lot of seating around the pier and along the park’s walkway. The pier is right where several restaurants are or will be.

Twigs Bistro is already open. I heard a number of other early morning walkers and joggers speaking positively of this small chain of PNW restaurants. I will have to try them out. The most interesting to me this morning though was The Daily Catch Walk Up window. I like this idea!
